I have a serious soft spot for Ben & Jerry’s Chunky Monkey ice cream. It’s something about the banana ice cream, slightly sweet, creamy and delicious. The added walnuts and chunks of dark chocolate make it into the best ice cream ever created. Ever.
Banana flavored ice cream is one thing, but banana ice cream made with just bananas is another. It’s so much easier to make than real ice cream and is made with fruit so you can eat it for breakfast if you want!
The bananas purée up into a super smooth custard consistency. It’s creamy and rich just like ice cream but it makes for a healthier knock off to the real thing.
