I’ve been on a sweet and spicy kick recently! Hot honey is one of those things that I didn’t know I needed in my life. But, now that I’ve tried it, I’ll always have a jar of it on hand.
It’s super simple, just honey infused with spicy chili peppers. Sweet with a bit of heat, this version is spiked with a splash of bourbon. The bourbon hit is subtle, but it helps to round out the flavor of the sweet-heat.
You can serve this spicy sweetness with just about anything. From roasted veggies, dried fruit, cheese, biscuits or even ice cream, it really is the perfect topping for whatever you’ve got!
