If you like dessert and Old Fashioned cocktails then you are going to *LOVE* this Bourbon and Honey Cherry Crumble recipe!
You can’t deny it anymore, the holidays are here! Did you pick up gifts for everyone on your list? Yeah, me neither but I’ll be taking advantage of some black friday deals to scoop up some goodies that I’ve had my eye on!
Speaking of Black Friday deals, how was your Thanksgiving? Awesome I hope! I’m still traveling through Australia and New Zealand where the holiday decorations are up and the festive music is playing.
If you’re ready for the festive holiday fare then you’ll love this Bourbon and Honey Cherry Crumble, it’s inspired by an Old Fashioned cocktail. Made with frozen (or fresh when they’re in season!) cherries tossed in a mixture of bourbon, honey, bitters and orange juice and topped with a crispy crumble, this delicious dessert has all the flavors of your favorite cocktail!
If you don’t have a cast iron skillet, don’t worry. Any oven proof skillet will work or spread the cherries and topping in a 8 or 9-inch glass baking dish. Just be sure to keep an eye on the bake time as it may bake a bit faster in the glass baking dish.
Serve this cherry crumble topped with sweet whipped cream (spiked with bourbon?!) or a giant scoop of vanilla ice cream and you’ve got a dessert fit for any dinner party or holiday gathering.
