Behold the Caipirinha, the national drink of Brazil. It’s a strong yet light cocktail made with cachaça, a spirit made with cane sugar similar to rum. It has more of a burnt sugar flavor than rum does but if you prefer, you could use rum instead.
This is a classic version of the Caipirinha cocktail representing Brazil and going head-to-head with the Margarita Cocktail from Mexico in the Cocktail Match Up.
The lime gives a bright freshness to the drink that makes it perfect to sip all summer or while yelling at the TV during the game.
