Heeey yoooou guys! Once again, it’s bourbon and honey month! An entire month devoted to the awesomeness that is bourbon and honey. Sure, I might have a bit of a bias, but you have to admit, it’s a pretty cool month. So, we’re kicking off the month with a recipe spiked with bourbon and sweetened with honey.
I’ve always been a big DIY-er, taking on weekend cooking projects like homemade bagels, salt water taffy, infused booze or slow cooked meats. This is a super quick and easy version of those kitchen DIY projects. It only takes a few minutes, the rest of the time is sitting back and waiting.
Bourbon and Honey Coarse Mustard
A quick and easy recipe for homemade coarse mustard, a spicy, zippy and boozy pairing with crackers, meats and cheeses.

- Yield: about 3 cups 1x
Ingredients
- 1 cup brown mustard seeds
- 3/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 3/4 cup honey
- 2/3 cup bourbon
- 1/2 cup yellow mustard seeds
- 1 1/2 teaspoons sea salt
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, stir together all ingredients. Let stand, covered 8 hours or overnight to combine the flavors. Transfer to the bowl of a food processor; and pulse until desired texture.
- Spoon into clean jars. Refrigerate 1 week before serving or up to 2 months.
