I’ve made you a cocktail! The holidays are right around the corner and with all the dinners, cocktail parties and family gatherings, you’re going to need a drink.
We’re taking it way back with this one, an old-fashioned classic that has stood the test of time; a Rob Roy. It’s similar to a Manhattan but it’s made with a blended Scotch instead of rye or bourbon.
Normally, I prefer bourbon over Scotch. But, the sweet vermouth and fresh, bright flavor of the garnishes mellow out the smokey, peaty flavor of the Scotch so well in this drink. It’s a delightfully sophisticated cocktail that will fit right in at your next holiday party.
